Versions

  • V12 Dial devices, Rock507, 3020, AlbumPlay
  • V13 Platform release with pulse and stability fixes, screensave, 
  • V14 MP3 tag update and stability fixes
  • UNTIL V12: USING THE OVER THE AIR (GREEN VERSIONS BELOW - FOR WIFI MODELS) FUNCTIONALITY UP TO RELEASE V12
  • Download code (unzip the zip and store the bin file) below and save on your computer
  • On the WallboxPlayer longpress the setup button (5sec), then in the menu wait for "TOOLS" to come up and then select "UPDATEMODE" by pressing the setup button a few times (5 times). Wait for the setup loop to finish.
  • The device will now restart and enter update mode (look at display)
  • Open a web browser on your computer where you have saved the bin file
  • Enter the URL with IP address of your player on the network with /update added (e.g. 192.168.1.224/update) as indicated on the WallboxPlayer display
  • You should now get the OTA-Elegant page - select "upload code:" and choose the bin file that you saved on your computer
  • After uploading the device will restart with the new code. After WallboxPlayer startup, system will show release/version number/date
  • Restart the WallboxPlayer and check all configurations settings (as location of stored config may have changed)
  • FROM V12 UP: USING THE ONBOARD (2ND) DATA SDCARD SLOT (RELEASE V12 AND UP)
  • Note: The music SD (under the blue player) can stay in the WallboxPlayer
  • Download code (unzip the zip and store the bin file) below and save on your computer
  • Copy the bin file (rename to wallboxplayer.bin) onto a FAT32 formatted (max 16GB) SD card (must be in the root)
  • Switch off WallboxPlayer, insert the SD card with the bin file and switch the WallboxPlayer on
  • The display will show if the update is ongoing, do not switch off the device until ready!
  • After updating to 100%, the device will restart with the new software update. After WallboxPlayer startup, system will show release/version number/date
  • Restart the WallboxPlayer, remove the SD card with the bin file from the cardslot
  • Check all configurations settings (as location of stored config may have changed)
